Photocatalytic Degradation of Oil Film by Floating TiO_2/EP Catalysts

The TiO2/EP photocatalysts were prepared by impregnation method,using tetrabutyl titanate as precursor and the expanded perlite as support.The crystal phase and morphology of TiO2/EP were characterized by X-ray and BET techniques.Performance of the catalysts was investigated with octane as a model of the oil film floating on water.The best catalysts were prepared by the calcinations of perlite of 20~40 mesh in size with titanium content 7%(wt) at 450 ℃ for 7 h.Under the UV illumination of 167 μW/cm2,82.86% ...
