Surface Modifying Behavior of Fluorine-containing Monomer on a Co-polymer of Acrylic Esters

  • The surface modifying behaviors of a fluorinecontaining monomer perfluoro-octane(N-ethyl,N-ethyl acrylate) sulphamide(trade name QG-F814) on a copolymer based on Methel Acrylic MMA,BA,St and MAA has been studied through water contact angle measurements.The surface repellency of the polymer has been strongly strengthened by adding about 5 wt.% QG-F814.The water contact angle can reache to about 108°(modified polyner film) from 80°(unmodified polymer film).
