Quercetin Metal Complexes and Their Biological Activity

Quercetin have wide pharmaceutical activities.It can chelate into a stable cycle complex with metal ions.So far,35 quercetin metal complexes have been synthesized all over the world,in which there are 5 main group elements: Mg、Ca、Al、Se and Pb;16 vice group elements:V、Sc、Cr、Fe、Co、Ni、Cu、Zn、Mn、Y、Mo、Cd、Ag、Pt、Au and Hg;and 14 rare earth elements: La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb and Lu.Research has shown that some quercetin metal complexes have resist neoplasm activity,antisepsis and inflammation activity,and inoxidizable and free radical activity.
