The inclusion reaction of β-cyclodextrin with dode cyloxy

The association of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) with cationic surfactant 3-dodecyloxy-2-hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium chloride (R_(12)TAC)under different temperature were measured by use of surface tension and conductance methods.At fixed concentrations R_(12)TAC ,the surface tension increases with an increase of β-CD concentration.It is concluded that β-CD shaped chiefly the inclusion complexes of 1∶1 with the R_(12)TAC.
