Catalytic synthesis of butyl gallate with cation resin
The butyl gallate was prepared by esterification of alcohol and gallic acid with catalysis of cation resin.The orthogonal experiments of molar ratio alcohol to gallic acid,quantities of catalyst and reaction time were carried out.The optimal conditions were as follows:the molar ratio of alcohol to gallic acid is 15∶1,the mass ratio of catalyst to gallic is 50∶100,and reaction time is 10 hours.
