The Analysis for Punching Shear Bearing Capacity of Pile-caps Supported on Four Piles

Base on load transmission mechanism of space truss and broken model for thick pile-caps,and by the analysis of test materials,a formula for calculating the bearing capacity of concrete compression strut and the design method of space truss of pile cap supported on piles is presented.Predictions by the proposed method are compared with experimental results and other established calculation methods.Generally,the calculated results coincide precisely with the practical measurements.
