Abstract: The specimens of Archidium ohioense Schimp.ex C.Muell.collected from Taihang Mountains is a new geographical distribution in Henan Province.Archidium Brid.is a genus rarely distributing in China.This collection extends the geographical distribution of the genus.There will be scientific value in some extent.The characteristics and distribution of the specimen from Henan Province were described and illustrated.The specimens are deposited in the herbarium of Hebei Normal University (HBNU) and the herbarium of Jiaozuo Teacher's College.Comparison was made between Archidium Brid.and genera with similar characteristics.The systematic and evolutional positions on Archidium are discussed from phylogeny and sporophyte ontogeny.
