Abstract: Se-Met was converted to volatile compounds through a two step derivatization reactions.The volatile compounds was determined by GC and an excellent linear concentration range of 0.1～10 ng with a low detection limit of 0.04 ng was obtained.Under experiment conditions,the method has a good recovery and high sensitivity,excellent results were obtained to determine the total number of selenoamino acids in Se-enriched salvia miltrorrhiza by accounting with Se-Met.It is expected to be an effective method to control the selenoamino acids quantity of Se-enriched salvia miltrorrhiza.
