Abstract: The basic principle and implementation of contourlet transform is briefly reviewed,and the basic method of contourlet-based de-noising is explained.The effect of filter selection of contourlet-based de-noising is discussed for two different versions of contourlet transform by experimental means.The best filter of contourlet-based de-noising should be wavelets "pkva" and "9-7",on the other hand,wavelet "haar" should be avoided in practical implementation.
