Abstract: A class of acute and chronic epidemic model with treatment is formulated and studied.The conditions under which the model exists disease free euqilibrium,unique endemic equilibrium,two endemic equilibrium(the backward bifurcation) are given The stabilities of the disease free equilibrium and the unique endemic equilibrium are proved under certain conditons.
