Abstract: The respiration of forced submergence of Trachemys scripta was carried out. The amount of aquatic respiratory gas exchange were determined by routine chemical quantitative water analysis methods. The results showed that carbon dioxide output is more important than oxygen uptake. And carbon dioxide output is much more than oxygen uptake when trachemys scripta are going under water.
