Abstract: A method for separation and determination of penicillin V sulfoxide by thin layer chromatography has been established. The developer used was V(n butyl acetate):V(acetic acid):V(5% sodium phosphate):V(n butanol)=12:4:2:1. The detection wavelength was 285 nm, beam size 1.2 mm×1.2 mm, SX=5.
