Abstract: The concept of moment-preserving is introduced,and the principle of moment-preserving is discussed,Then the methods of two-level thresholding and multi-level thresholding are given, and the main principle of the thresholding is proposed. According to the law of minimum fault segmentation and the basic flow chart of image processing, the main step to segment image by this method is given.
