Abstract: In the complete metric space,the existence and uniqueness of the common fixed points for a class of twice power type contraction mapping is discussed by use of pair of selfmapping of the compatibility and weak compatibility condition.A new common fixed point theorem is obtained.These results improve and develop the relevant results of Kennan,Mustafa and Brican.
