Abstract: The frequency measurement method by multi period testing frequency with 8253 counter/timer and personal computer is discussed,and high accuracy and fast frequency measurement in a wide range is achieved by programmed gate time autoadjustment by this way.The principal illustration of practical circuit and programming method are revealed.The source process can be found in the end of the paper.
