Abstract: The author reviews economic geography's formation history and developmental characters, and puts forward general principles of dealing with the relationship between economic geography and economics, then expounds in detail economic geography's theoretical and methodological system. At last, the author emphasises the formation of perfect economic geography's theoretical and methodological system should be the only way of maintaining economic geography's geographical orientation.
