Abstract:
Based on meteorological data such as daily average temperature, relative humidity, average wind speed and sunshine duration from two national level meteorological stations in Xinyang city from 1960 to 2019, using the temperature humidity index, wind effect index, clothing index and comprehensive comfort index, the interannual and seasonal variation characteristics of climate comfort in Xinyang city were analyzed. The results showed that, in the past 60 years, the annual temperature humidity index, wind effect index and clothing index in Xinyang city had all developed towards comfort level and all three indices had showed a clear upward trend in spring. The annual performance of the comprehensive comfort index showed that the duration of discomfort level and comfort level showed an opposite trend, with an increase in comfort level duration and a decrease in discomfort level duration. However, the duration of comfort level increased while the duration of discomfort level decreased in spring. The duration of secondary comfort level increased while the duration of secondary discomfort level decreased in winter. Therefore, in the context of climate change, the tourism climate comfort in Xinyang city was developing towards a more comfortable direction, and the comfort was stronger in spring. Xinyang city should take the advantages of tourism climate resources, carry out more diverse tourism activities, and then help the high-quality development of the tourism industry.
