Abstract:
Six rural tourism sites of Xinxian county in Henan Province were selected as the study area. By employing fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), a comprehensive causal model was developed, which is used to investigate the "synergistic linkage effect" and "interaction effect" between the antecedent condition variables and the outcome variables of farmers' support for tourism. The study reveals that the influencing factors of rural tourist households' degree of support for tourism exhibit the characteristics of "multiple concurrency" and "diverse pathways". Furthermore, the generation of this support is a result of the combined influence of multiple factors, which in turn form various equivalence groupings through their interactions. The auxiliary conditions of participation in decision-making, participation in management, and benefit sharing are present in the grouping paths, while income, education, and perceived fairness serve as core conditions in most grouping paths, exerting a significant impact on tourism support.
