Abstract:
Based on the theory of educational field and analysis of mediation effect, a mediation effect model is constructed by using parents' family rearing style as the independent variable, college students' labor literacy level as the dependent variable, and sense of life meaning as the intermediary variable. A questionnaire survey is conducted among 2800 students from 5 full-time colleges and universities in a city of Henan Province to examine the influence mechanism of parental family education styles on differences in college students' labor literacy levels. The findings suggest variations in the influence mechanism of parental family education styles on their children's labor literacy levels. The presence of a sense of life meaning demonstrates a partial mediating effect between fathers' parenting styles and college students' labor literacy levels, while it exhibits a complete mediating effect between mothers' parenting styles and college students' labor literacy levels.
