Abstract: The laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is adopted to analyse the trace elements of pyrite and investigate the genesis of the Yindongpo deposit. Base on the field and microscopic observation, the pyrites in the Yindongpo deposit could be divided into three generations. The trace elements of pyrites indicate that Py1 is sedimentary origin, unrelated to gold mineralization; Py2 and Py3 are the dominated pyrite types, which is of magmatic source. Combined with the regional geology, the Yindongpo deposit belongs to magmatic hydrothermal deposit.
