双钙钛矿Ba2CoWO6晶体制备及磁性研究

Crystal Growth and Magnetic Properties of Double Perovskite Ba2CoWO6

  • 摘要: 以BaCl2为助熔剂,采用自助溶法制备了毫米尺寸的Ba2CoWO6单晶,并通过X射线衍射、比热和磁化率测量对晶体进行了结构表征和物性研究。利用脉冲强磁场技术对单晶进行了高达50 T的磁化测量,综合实验数据构建了Ba2CoWO6的磁场-温度(H-T)相图。结果表明,低温下Ba2CoWO6中Co2+离子处于自旋态S=3/2并伴随着有一定分量的轨道磁矩,且晶体不同轴向具有磁各向异性。在强磁场的驱动下,该材料在临界场Hc=30 T时发生铁磁相变,进入饱和态。

     

    Abstract: The single crystals of Ba2CoWO6 with millimeter size are prepared by spontaneous nucleation method using BaCl2 as flux. The structure and magnetic properties are characterized by X-ray diffraction, specific heat and magnetic susceptibility measurement. Using pulsed high magnetic field technology for magnetization measurements up to 50 T, a magnetic field-temperature (H-T) phase diagram of Ba2CoWO6 is constructed. The results reveal that Ba2CoWO6 exhibits magnetic anisotropy, and the inner Co2+ ions are in a high spin state at low temperature, accompanied by an incomplete quenching of orbital magnetic moment. Driven by a high magnetic field, the material undergoes a ferromagnetic phase transition into a saturated state at a critical field Hc=30 T.
