Abstract:
A kind of light and high-strength foaming material is prepared by using perlite as the main raw material, CaO as the admixture and NaOH as the activator. The effect of different CaO contents and sintering temperature on the morphology, bulk density, compressive strength, thermal conductivity of light foaming samples are studied. The results show that the addition of CaO can significantly improve the physical properties of light materials which are a loose and porous structure. The presence of Ca can stimulate the formation of silicate aluminate network and hardening of matrix phase, it can also react with aluminosilicate in the system to produce a large amount of hydrated calcium silicate, which can fill the pores of three-dimensional network structure. The optimum performance of the sample is obtained after sintered at 650℃ under the mass fraction of CaO is 3%, and the bulk density, compressive strength, thermal conductivity of sample are 0.252 g/cm
3, 2.120 MPa and 0.049 W/(m·K), respectively.
