轨道交通建设对城市消费影响的实证分析

An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of Rail Transit Construction on Urban Consumption

  • 摘要: 基于我国31个大中城市2001-2018年的相关数据, 从经济增长及边际消费倾向两个角度, 探讨轨道交通消费效应的形成机制。运用多期双重差分法(Differences-in-Differences, DID)模型, 实证分析轨道交通建设对城市消费水平的影响。结果显示: 轨道交通建设能够通过促进居民收入增长与提高居民边际消费倾向两种渠道对城市消费产生显著的正向影响; 异质性检验表明, 轨道交通建设的消费促进效应在中东部地区及大城市表现更加明显, 而在西部地区的影响尚不显著。

     

    Abstract: Based on the relevant data of 31 large and medium-sized cities in China from 2001 to 2018, the formation mechanism of rail transit consumption effect is discussed from the perspectives of economic growth and marginal consumption tendency. The impact of rail transit construction on urban consumption level is empirically analyzed by using multiperiod model of Differences-in-Differences(DID). The results show that rail transit construction may have a significant positive impact on urban consumption by promoting the growth of residents' income and improving the residents' marginal propensity to consume. The heterogeneity test results show that the consumption promotion effect of rail transit construction in the central-eastregions and big cities are more pronounced than the western regions.
