信阳原状黏土的岩土工程特性
Geotechnical Properties of Undisturbed Xinyang Clay

摘要: 为加深对信阳原状黏土岩土工程特性的认知, 对取自信阳师范学院主校区的原状土样开展系统全面的物理、化学、力学等岩土工程特性测试, 主要结论如下: (1)土样粉粒含量57.0%, 黏粒含量42.4%, 为细粒土; 液限41.6%, 塑限18.8%, 为低液限黏土。天然状态下液性指数0.19, 处于硬塑状态。最优含水率14.7%, 最大干密度1.88 g/cm3。(2)阳离子交换量206 mmol/kg, 自由膨胀率40%, 膨胀潜势为弱。膨胀含水率26.6%, 体膨胀率0.2%;体缩率3.4%, 收缩系数0.12, 缩限11.9%;胀缩变形较小。(3)原生矿物包括石英、斜长石和铁白云石, 占比69.7%;黏土矿物包括伊利石、高岭石、绿泥石、伊/蒙混层, 占比30.3%。(4)先期固结压力454.1 kPa, 超固结比7.7, 为重超固结土。压缩指数0.283, 回弹指数0.038, 压力100~200 kPa范围内压缩系数0.166, 为中等压缩性土。(5)原状样峰值抗剪强度有效黏聚力33.6 kPa、有效内摩擦角25.5°, 残余强度有效内摩擦角23.7°。(6)采用变水头渗透试验获得其渗透系数为5.97×10-7 cm/s。Abstract: The geotechnical properties of undisturbed Xinyang clay sampled from main campus of Xinyang normal university are experimentally investigated.The results are drawn as follows: (1) The silt content is 57.0%, the clay content is 42.4%, the liquid limit is 41.6%, and the plastic limit is 18.8%, so the soil is the lean clay (CL).The liquidity index is 0.19, so the soil is hard.The optimum water content is 14.7%, while the maximum dry density is 1.88 g/cm3.(2) The cation exchange capacity (CEC) is 206 mmol/kg, and the free swelling ratio is 40%, so the swelling potential is weak.(3) Nonclay minerals including quartz, plagioclase, and ankerite account for 69.7%.Clay minerals including kaolinite, illite, chlorite and illite/montmorillonite mixed layer account for 30.3%.(4) The preconsolidation pressure is 454.1 kPa, and the overconsolidation ratio is 7.7, so the soil is heavily overconsolidated.The compression index is 0.283, the swell (expansion) index is 0.038.(5) The effective cohesion of peak shear strength is 33.6 kPa.The effective friction angles of peak and residual shear strength are 25.5° and 23.7°, respectively.(6) The coefficient of permeability is 5.97×10-7 cm/s which measured by the falling-head permeability test.
