Abstract:
Taking Xinyang city in Henan province as a case area, based on the perspective of landscape ecology and economic geography, the measurement and heterogeneity analysis of the fragmentation on urban built-up areas are investigated from morphological pattern and functional pattern. The results are as follows: ①the irregular street enclosure patches are driven by the expansion of urban space extension and the promotion of functional connotation. Most of them appear in random growth areas, which presents the singleness and low quality of function with the possibility of marginalization. ②Most of the regular street enclosed patches appear in the newly built areas, and the functional fragmentation is characterized by uneven distribution and low quality filling. ③The heterogeneity characteristic of spatial fragmentation in the built-up area of Xinyang city is the result of the dual driving forces, urban history and modernization, the expansion of urban space extension and the promotion of functional connotation.
