Abstract:
A method for the determination of 2, 6-di-tert-butyl paracresol was developed based on ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF/MS). The column used was Waters ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 (2.1 mm×50 mm×1.7
μm), with the mobile phase of water and acetonitrile (30:70,
v:
v) as the mobile phase and the ESI-/APCI composite source was selected in the full scan mode. A good linear relationship for 2, 6-di-tert-butyl paracresol was obtained within the concentration range of 5~50 mg/L, with the limit of detection of 0.2
μg/g, the limit of quantification of 0.7
μg/g, the recovery of 95%~100%, and the relative standard deviation was less than 1% (
n=6). This method has been used to measure the content of BHT in cookies.
