Abstract:
Compound 1~3 with central atoms of C, N and O were designed and synthesized from 2, 6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid monomethyl ester. Compound 3 could form gels in methanol, ethanol, acetone, acetonitrile, ethyl acetate, DMSO/H
2O (4/1,
v/
v), DMF/H
2O(4/1,
v/
v), and 1, 4-dioxane/H
2O(4/1,
v/
v). The self-assembly process of compound 3 in methanol was studied by various characterization techniques. The results showed that hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking were the main driving forces of the gel formation.
