Abstract:
The development of tea plant genomics and genetics has promoted the understanding of the molecular mechanism of tea quality formation and the evolution of tea plant genome. Based on 44 references, the achievements of the past ten years was summarized, which primarily include the research progress of tea genome and transcriptome sequencing, gene discovery and functional analysis, epigenetics, origin and domestication, metabonomics.The perspectives and possible challenges for future functional genomic studies were presented.
