Abstract:
A new-style signal transmission regenerator based on ethernet protocol was designed, whose transmission medium was common-used gigabit ethernet cable. In presented design, sampling front-end and regenerator back-end can be placed individually, and the transmission distance can be enlarged arbitrary via switches for more flexible relay strategy. Multi-channel signal can be transmitted in the same network correctly, too. Automatic network delay time measurer was instanced internally to attain the same frequency and phase with sampling signal. Whole system's processing core is FPGA to utilize its parallel and real-time ability. The relative amplitude/frequency error between regenerated signal and original signal was lower than 1% after practical test. Amplitude/frequency jitter was decrease greatly, showing its superb performance compared with MCU-based strategy. Presented design can be widely used in high-precision remote signal regenerating system, such as intelligent factory, automatic monitor lab.
