Abstract:
A quantitative evaluation and spatial analysis of the entrepreneurial environment for rural migrant workers returning home in Henan province were carried out through the construction of index system based on entropy weight TOPSIS and geographical weighted regression methods. The results showed that: Firstly, the level of entrepreneurial environment in Henan province was on the low side with 42.41% of the counties distributed in the low value area. Secondly, the cold spots of entrepreneurial environment in Henan province, namely, the low value area were mainly distributed in Nanyang and Zhumadian counties/districts in south Henan province, Zhoukou and Shangqiu in east Henan province, with a type-U spatial pattern. From the overall system point of view, the main constraints affecting the entrepreneurship of rural migrant workers returning home was the living standards of the local people and the status of labor resources. From the point of view of local system, the spatial difference characteristics from factors affecting the entrepreneurial environment of migrant workers returning home were remarkable, with the evidently marginalized feature along edge area of Henan province. Some suggestions were put forward to optimize the entrepreneurial environment of rural migrant workers returning home for the hilly region in the west, Nanyang Basin in the south, Tongbai-Dabie Mountain and the plain in the east of Henan.
