Abstract:
Alzheimer's diseaseis is a progressive degenerative disease of the central nervous system, caused by the abnormal neurons associated with congitive function. Catechins, the main active ingredients in tea, have the functions of anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, inhibiting cholinesterase activity and so on, whose can prevent Alzheimer's disease. The mechanisms of catechins in treatment for Alzheimer's diseaseis were reviewed with 60 references. The research progress of catechins on animal experiments for curing Alzheimer's diseaseis in recent 10 years were also sumarried. Further, the future research of cathechins on Alzheimer's disease were prospected.
