Abstract:
In order to determine the suitable nitrogen application of high eating quality japonica rice varieties Nanjing9108 in southern Henan province, the effects of different nitrogen application (0, 120, 240, 360 kg/hm
2) on yield and quality of Nanjing9108 were studied. The results showed that the yield increased with the increase of nitrogen application, the highest yield was 9868.20 kg/hm
2 at the nitrogen application rate of 240 kg/hm
2. The brown rice rate, milled rice rate, head rice rate, chalkiness size, chalkiness, protein content, gel consistency, peak viscosity and disintegration value of rice quality evaluation indicators increased with the increase of nitrogen application; the chalky grain rate, amylose content, hot paste viscosity, final viscosity, reduction value, recovery value and gelatinization temperature showed a decreasing trend. In terms of eating quality, appearance, viscosity, balance degree and taste score all showed a downward trend with the increase of nitrogen application, the only hardness is on the rise. Considering the yield and quality performance under different nitrogen application, controlling the nitrogen application level in about 240 kg/hm
2 was conducive to the realization of high yield and quality of Nanjing9108 in southern Henan.
