Abstract:
In order to discuss the shear performance of self insulated concrete block masonry, two kinds of blocks with 10.6 MPa and 4.5 MPa strength and three kinds of mortars with 15 MPa, 7.5 MPa and 5.0 MPa strength are selected, the constitutive model and corresponding parameters selection of different materials in the ABAQUS numerical simulation are analyzed, and the numerical simulation analyses of the shear performance of masonry constructed with different strength block and mortar are carried out. The results show that when the strength of the masonry and mortar is more consistent, it is beneficial to the masonry to show a better shear performance, the shear performance of the masonry will be limited improved if separately to improve the block or mortar strength. But when the mortar strength is high, the masonry could still maintain a high residual stress after shear failure stage, and the shear property of the masonry decreases sharply when the strength of the mortar is too low.
