Abstract:
High purity crystalline boron powder samples were irradiated on the micro reactor of China Institute of Atomic Energy in different periods of time (16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64 h).The specific heat capacity of the samples were measured by means of the modulated differential scanning calorimetry (MDSC).The results showed that the average specific heat capacity of the samples in the temperature range of 100 ℃~380 ℃ increases linearly with the neutron fluence and the coefficient of determination is 0.989 6. Finally the result was analyzed theoretically.
