Abstract:
Two novel amphiphilic naphthalene diamide compounds (NDI-1 and NDI-2) were synthesized simply and efficiently by three-step reaction, using gallic acid and naphthalene tetraanhydride as basic materials. The structure of these amphiphilic naphthalene diamides were characterized by IR、
1H NMR、
13C NMR and HRMS,and the gelating abilities of them in different solvents were studied in details. The results showed that NDI-2 is a versatile gelator, which can form into stable gels at a low critical gelation concentration (CGS,3.3~9.5 g/L),not only in non-polar solvents (such as benzene, toluene and xylene) but also in strong polar solvent (DMSO) and aqueous solvent (30% H
2O-THF).
