Abstract:
The spatial-temporal evolution of regional economic development disparities was discussed in the West Coast Straits Economic Zone since 2007 years and its genetic mechanism was analyzed by the ways of spatial autocorrelation analysis, factor analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis. The results showed that regional economic development had an obvious characteristic of positive autocorrelation in the West Coast Straits Economic Zone, and the spatial convergence phenomena of economic development was obvious.The trend of the spatial agglomeration and convergencewere more and more apparent, and the difference of regional economic development had been narrowing; The "core-edge" structure characteristics was evident, and Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou and so on had been at the core.The regions such as Meizhou, Shantou, Jieyang and Chaozhou, Ganzhou, Fuzhou, Shangrao had been at the edge area; The factors of government investment, geographical location, economic foundation, the degree of marketization and urbanization level played an important role on the regional economic development in the West Coast Strait Economic Zone.
