上覆荷载作用下红黏土干湿循环试验研究

Experimental Study on Red Clay under Drying-Wetting Cycles and Overlying Load

  • 摘要: 针对江西红黏土进行了施加不同上覆荷载、限制侧向膨胀、允许侧向收缩时的干湿循环试验,定性和定量地分析了干湿循环过程中红黏土裂隙发展规律.研究结果表明:对于任意一定次数的干湿循环,红黏土的裂隙分布密度、长度比、平均宽度均随着上覆荷载的增加而减小;随着上覆荷载的增加,试样经历7次干湿循环后裂隙分布密度、长度比、平均宽度减幅均很明显;上覆荷载越大,上覆荷载对裂隙的抑制作用越明显;当上覆荷载大于等于土体膨胀力时,试样不产生裂隙.

     

    Abstract: A series of experiments were conducted on red clay from Jiangxi, including confined lateral expansion and allowed lateral contraction tests on compacted soils under drying and wetting cycles with different overlying load. The crack development law of red clay in the process of drying and wetting cycles was analyzed from quantitative and qualitative point of view. It was revealed that for any number of drying and wetting cycles, the distribution density, length ratio and average width of the red clay were decreased with the increase of the load. With the increase of overlying load, after 7 times of dry wet cycles, fracture density, length ratio, average width decreased obviously and the crack inhibition was more obvious with overlying load. When the overlying load was greater than or equal to the expansion force of the soil, the specimen did not crack.
