Abstract:
Based on 224 representative rural tourist destinations in 18 municipalities of Henan Province, the spatial law of rural tourism destinations and its driving forces were analyzed quantitatively with centralization index, economic-geographic connection rate and population-geographic connection rate. The results showed that:the number of rural tourist destinations was pretty balanced and a certain degree of development was observed in every municipalities in terms of the balance degree; the rural tourism destinations were concentrated in the middle, north, and west of Henan Province; the tourism belt was divided into municipal edge tourism belt, mountainous scenic belt, transitional region belt and small scale belt; the driving forces included natural forces, such as landforms, terrain, river, and humanistic forces, such as economic, population, traffic, high grades of scenic spots. It was beneficial to realize the sustainable development of rural tourism in Henan Province by integrating the tourist resources, building quality lines and strengthening the brand construction.
