Synthesis of PEPA-based Halogen-free Organic Phosphorus Flame-retardant

  • 摘要: 以季戊四醇、三氯氧磷和甲醇为主要原料,经3步反应合成了一种PEPA基无卤有机磷阻燃剂-双(2,6,7-三氧杂-1-氧基磷杂双环2.2.2辛烷-4-亚甲基)磷酸甲酯(PTC).在二氧六环溶剂中,季戊四醇与三氯氧磷反应得到中间体I,收率86%;中间体I在乙腈溶剂中,继续与三氯氧磷反应,生成中间体Ⅱ,收率78%;中间体Ⅱ和甲醇反应生成目标化合物PTC,熔点264℃~265℃,收率69.1%.讨论了生成目标化合物PTC的主要影响因素,并采用FT-IR、LC-MS及1H NMR表征了目标化合物PTC的结构,TGA分析表明PTC具有良好的热稳定性和成炭性.

     

    Abstract: A novel PEPA-based halogen-free organic phosphorus flame-retardant-bis(2,6,7-trioxa-1-phosphabicyclo2.2.2 octane-4-methanol) methyl phosphate (PTC) was prepared through a three-step reaction from starting material phosphorus oxychloride, pentaerythritol and methyl alcohol. Intermediate product (Ⅰ) was prepared in 86% yield by the reaction of pentaerythritol with phosphorus oxychloride in the media of diethylene dioxide. The condensation of compound (Ⅰ) with phosphorus oxychloride in acetonitrile media gave intermediate product(Ⅱ) in 78% yield. The title compound PTC was synthesized from compound(Ⅱ) and methyl alcohol with yield of 69.1%. The melting point of PTC was 264℃~265℃. The main influence factors of the formation of the target compound PTC were discussed. The structure of the PTC had been determined by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NMR) and liquid chromatography mass spectra (LC-MS). PTC has good thermal stability and char formation tested by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
