Abstract:
The county-level urban-rural integration level is a key foundation for policy-making for new urbanization in traditional agricultural areas.Based on entropy value method and ArcGIS technology,the urban-rural integration level of 159 counties in Henan province was measured quantitatively through the evaluation index system of urban-rural integration construction.It showed that the urban-rural integration level was still be in starting stage,and its spatial distribution was imbalance,the urban-rural index scores among counties different greatly.The urban-rural integration scores of the counties in main grain production and rural counties were overall low.The population and economic factors related closely with county-level urban-rural integration scores,and together with ecological environment construction,social service conditions,and the function orientation of traditional agricultural areas,driving the spatial pattern of urban-rural integration formation and development.Finally,three policy suggestions were put forth to promote the urban-rural integration level in undeveloped agricultural areas.
