Abstract:
A new lightweight geotechnical material with certain strength was produced by using Lianyungang Port’s marine muddy soil as raw material, expanded polystyrene (EPS) particles as the light weight admixtures, cement as main cured material, and fly ash, slag, sand, lime, gypsum as auxiliary cured material. The relationship between each of the cured material content and unconfined compressive strength was analyzed through a series of strength experiments. And the solidification mechanisms of different materials were discussed. Within the range of the optimum mixture ratio, the results showed that the unconfined compressive strength of the new geotechnical material was much greater than that of the single material.
