Abstract: Through the feasibility analysis of distance measurement based on the RTK, a RTKbased method was presented for distance measurement in field events. This method was applied in the distance measurement of long jumping. By several experimentations, the scientific and rational of this method was proved by compare to the results obtained with the traditional measurement method. The results showed that this method could offer a fast, realtime and accurate method for distance measurement in modern field events.
