Abstract: The market valuation method,shadow engineering method,opportunity cost method and substitute expense method are used to value the functions of the forest ecosystem of Jigongshan National Nature Reserve.The results obtained reveal that the total ecological function value of the nature reserve in 2002 is estimated up to about 691.146 million yuan per annum. which consist of 79.539 million yuan of water-holding,about 12.653 million yuan of water purification,and about 577.541 million yuan of soil conservat...
