Abstract: A system of retarted functional differential equation is proposed as a predator-prey model with dispersion in the prey.The invariance of non-negativity,nature of equilibria and global stability of the system are analyzed.It is shown that in this model the time delay can cause a stable equilibrium becoming unstable.
