Abstract: This article has investigated how the network equipments support RMON actually and analyzed the data collecting on the switch supporting RMON MIB.It is proposed that performance management and fault management could be realized by the use of RMON in the actual network management,the utilization of interface could be calculated in the physical layer,and the relative value could be set to realize the alarm.
